Transport Logistic 2027: Dates and Exhibitor Guide

Date
26.–29. April 2027
Location
Messe München,
Munich
Country
Germany

Transport Logistic 2027 takes place from 26–29 April 2027 at Messe München. The event brings together companies from across the logistics industry, including freight forwarders, transport operators, software providers, warehouse specialists and manufacturers of freight-handling equipment.

That breadth creates valuable opportunities for exhibitors, but it also makes clarity and differentiation essential. Visitors should be able to understand where your company fits into the chain, who your solution is designed for and what it improves.

This guide covers the main exhibition sectors, important deadlines and the stand-planning decisions that matter specifically at Transport Logistic.

What Is Transport Logistic?

Transport Logistic is an international trade show for logistics, mobility, IT and supply chain management. It is held every two years in Munich and covers transport services, digital systems, freight equipment, warehousing and intralogistics.

The 2025 edition attracted 2,719 exhibitors from 73 countries and more than 77,000 visitors from over 130 countries and regions. The exhibition occupied 150,000 square metres across 12 halls and an outdoor area. The latest official facts and figures are available on the event website.

Transport Logistic is therefore not limited to transport providers. It connects the companies that move goods with those that plan the journey, manage the data and provide the infrastructure, technology and equipment behind it.

Who Should Exhibit at Transport Logistic?

The event is relevant to companies working across the supply chain. The organiser divides the exhibition into four main exhibition sectors:

  • Services, freight transport and logistics: including freight forwarding, road transport, rail, shipping, courier services and consultancy.
  • IT, telematics, e-business and telecommunications: systems for planning, tracking, data exchange, automation and transport management.
  • Equipment for freight transport: solutions for road, rail, water, air and combined transport.
  • Intralogistics and warehouse management: including warehouse technology, auto-ID, packaging and equipment for terminals and loading bays.

The show is particularly relevant if you want to meet international customers or partners and can communicate a clear role in their operations. Your offer may be a physical product, a service or a digital platform. What matters is connecting it to a recognisable need, such as reducing delays, improving visibility, increasing capacity, lowering costs or simplifying documentation.

Transport Logistic 2027: Dates, Venue and Opening Hours

  • Dates: 26–29 April 2027
  • Venue: Messe München, Am Messesee 2, 81829 Munich, Germany
  • Visitor opening hours: Monday–Wednesday, 09:30–18:00, Thursday, 09:30–16:00
  • Official website: Transport Logistic

Companies planning their own stand must apply as a main exhibitor through the official exhibitor application. Co-exhibitors must be registered through the main exhibitor.

The application deadline for co-exhibitors is 31 January 2027. According to the organiser, co-exhibitors received after this date will only be included in the online directories.

Two further deadlines are particularly relevant to stand planning:

  • 19 February 2027: deadline for ordering and approving entries in the official trade fair media
  • 5 March 2027: deadline for ordering technical stand services and submitting stand concepts for approval

Always confirm the latest information in the organiser’s dates and deadlines overview, as requirements may depend on your stand and chosen services.

air cargo Europe at Transport Logistic

air cargo Europe is held as part of Transport Logistic and focuses specifically on international air freight. Its audience includes airlines, airports, freight forwarders, cargo-handling companies, express services and technology providers.

If air freight is your primary market, your stand should speak directly to this more specialised audience. Avoid relying on broad claims about making logistics more efficient. Show whether your solution improves handling, documentation, traceability, security, capacity management or the connection between air cargo and the wider supply chain.

Make Your Position in the Supply Chain Easy to Understand

Words such as efficiency, visibility and sustainability will appear throughout the exhibition. They are important, but they do little to distinguish one company from another without a clear explanation of what actually changes.

Use your stand to place your solution within a recognisable logistics flow. Show the journey from manufacturer to warehouse, terminal, carrier and final destination, then make it clear where your product or service enters the process.

A simple visual can often communicate this faster than a long feature list. Depending on the solution, this could be:

  • A route across several modes of transport
  • A model of a warehouse or terminal
  • A before-and-after process
  • A live dashboard showing how a delay is detected and managed
  • A physical product combined with graphics showing where it is used

The aim is to help the right visitor recognize that the solution is relevant to them. You don’t have to sell to everyone, but just the right people.

Prepare Different Entry Points for Different Decision-Makers

The same exhibitor may speak to a freight forwarder, warehouse manager, procurement specialist and IT director on the same day. Each person will evaluate the solution differently.

An operations manager may focus on reliability, fewer errors and easier planning. Senior management may be more interested in cost, capacity and measurable business impact. An IT specialist is likely to ask about integration, data security and implementation.

Choose your most important audiences before the event and prepare a short entry point for each one. The main message on the stand should remain simple, while demonstrations, case examples and conversations can provide the detail relevant to each visitor.

This also affects staffing. Make sure the right technical or commercial colleague is available when a conversation moves beyond the initial introduction.

Demonstrate Digital Solutions Through Real Situations

Transport Logistic has a large exhibition sector dedicated to IT, telematics and e-business. Many software companies will therefore be presenting products on screens, and a standard interface walkthrough can quickly blend into everything else visitors have seen.

Build your demonstration around a realistic situation instead. For example, show what happens when:

  • A delivery is delayed
  • Available capacity changes
  • A shipment needs to be traced
  • Several partners need access to the same information
  • A manual process creates an avoidable error

Start with the problem and demonstrate the few actions that create the result. Let visitors choose a scenario or explain their own situation, rather than taking everyone through the same complete product tour.

Keep the first demonstration short. A large LED screen can make routes, data and processes visible to people passing the stand, while smaller screens or workstations are better suited to individual discussions and detailed product exploration.

Give Large Products the Context They Need

Containers, loading equipment, packaging systems, terminal technology and other physical products naturally attract attention. Size alone, however, does not explain why the product is valuable.

Use graphics, a scale model or a short animation to show the product in operation. Identify the environment it belongs in, the task it performs and the improvement it creates. If the product is part of a larger system, show the connections rather than presenting it as an isolated object.

Large exhibits also influence the practical design of the stand. Access routes, safe distances, flooring, visitor circulation, unloading and installation should be planned before meeting areas and supporting elements are placed around them.

Transport Logistic uses both exhibition halls and outdoor areas with tracks. Review the organiser’s hall and site plan when the 2027 layout is available, and confirm the technical conditions for your allocated area.

Use Partnerships to Present a Complete Solution

Logistics solutions often depend on several companies. A software platform may rely on an integration partner, specific hardware or data from a transport operator. Exhibiting together can make the complete offer easier to understand, but only if each partner’s role is clear.

Develop one shared main message, then define what each company contributes. Visitors should not have to work out who is responsible for the next conversation.

Before the show, agree on:

  • How the combined solution will be presented
  • Which company handles each type of question
  • How leads will be recorded and shared
  • Who owns the follow-up after the event

A joint stand works best when it shows a genuine connection between the partners rather than several separate presentations placed next to one another.

Plan Meetings Around the Exhibition Layout

With 12 halls and outdoor exhibition areas, moving between meetings can take longer than expected. Once the 2027 exhibitor directory and hall plan are available, group appointments by location and leave realistic travel time between them.

Give invited visitors a specific reason to come to your stand. This could be a live demonstration, a relevant customer case or a conversation about a defined route, process or integration. Include the stand number and nearest entrance once your location has been confirmed.

Visitor tickets and exhibitor passes include local public transport to and from Messe München in MVV zones M–6 on the specified day. The organiser states that the ticket must be shown as a printout or PDF together with a passport or ID card; a mobile wallet or pass is not valid for public transport. Check the current travel information before sending practical instructions to your team and guests.

Record the Need Behind Every Lead

At an event covering the entire supply chain, a scanned badge is not enough context for useful follow-up. Two visitors may show interest in the same product for completely different reasons.

Record four points immediately after each relevant conversation:

  • Which part of the supply chain the contact works with
  • The problem or opportunity discussed
  • The product, service or case that was relevant
  • The agreed next step, owner and timing

This takes little time during the event, but it makes the follow-up more specific and gives you better information when evaluating which audiences and messages produced the strongest conversations.

Treat the Stand and Logistics as One Project

Exhibiting at Transport Logistic involves more than the stand design. Screens, software demonstrations, physical products, freight, technical orders, installation and organiser deadlines all need to follow the same plan.

At Wieben Design, we coordinate design, production, graphics, transport, installation and dismantling as one process. We can also assist with relevant orders through the exhibitor portal once access is available.
